Yamaha P116 Upright Piano

This P Series pianos, P116, was originally designed in Europe for European market, using European components that ensures that it has distinct sound that is quite European, delivering rich expressive sound of a full size upright. This particular  perowned and refurbished unit is manufactured in Japan with a “Made in Japan” label below the Yamaha emblem logo. It was sold by Yamaha Malaysia 20 years ago. Although this P116 model is still currently selling in Europe for MYR36200 (£6648) for a new one, it is currently being made in Indonesia. Such P116 that is made in Indonesia is not sold in Malaysia because its price would be deemed expensive for local market now. It is preceded with Yamaha JX113, yet the build and material is quite different from JX113.

This P Series pianos are mid-range models with high-end quality and features. Despite their affordability, these pianos are built with Yamaha’s care and attention to detail, giving them excellent tonal reproduction and the sensitive, quick responsiveness of the Yamaha keyboard and action mechanism. The sound board uses close-grain solid spruce, which typically only used in high grade expensive pianos.

This particular unit is only 20+ years old.
