Kawai KX21 Acoustic Upright Piano (Used / Second Hand / Pre-owned / Refurbished / Reconditioned Piano). At 121 cm in height, this is a studio unit suitable for beginner to professional player. This unit matches the same category as Yamaha U1J. Some unit we have is only 6 years old and in a very mint condition. It still enjoys the full 10 years transferable manufacturer’s warranty, with 4 more years remaining.
The KX-21 has mahogany hammer mouldings (It is not German Louis Renner hammer head that was wrongly claimed by other) which combined with the pianos extra height and larger sound board give this model a richer deeper tone. The piano action is from Kawai’s “professional” series to facilitate faster repetition for playing more advanced pieces. Each key is individually weighted to ensure an even touch across the keyboard. This allows experienced musicians and students to develop a reliable piano technique.
KX-21 is made in China instead of Japan. The X is said to be referred to Xinghai / Beijing Hsinghai Musical Instruments Corporation. Kawai claimed that KX models is made for Canada market. You may refer to its serial number here. But this series was sold in Malaysia also.
